I will try to learn how to post my Silk Road writing and paintings.

Study Sume-i artist in Louvre
Here is a quick painting I did after a trip to the Louvre where I saw this stunning Sume-i artist's work. The sheer simplicity and beauty caught my attention.

Silk Painting and Scroll from Shanghai Museum

- Here on the left is the Imperial Dragon (with five claws) which I painted on silk many years ago. I painted him in memory of a dear, Quaker friend named Ann Combs.
- The Bald Man scroll on the right was purchased at the Shanghai Museum. He is a monk, perhaps Ba Da Shan Ren (also known as, Chu Ta), or it might be Shih Tao. Both of these artists developed their own styles of painting instead of following the classical masters exclusively. The artist is shown here sitting, while painting a large palm leaf, as if he were in the painting, itself. Mysterious.http://ChineseBrushPainting@yahoogroups.com
